What each device type means
Chrome, Firefox, Safari on Windows/Mac/Linux
Recommendation: Trust only on personal computers. Never on public/work PCs.
Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android
Recommendation: Safe to trust on your personal phone.

Recommendation: Most secure option. Always trust.

Recommendation: Trust only if you're the sole user.

Understanding device trust and session expiration
First time logging in from this device/browser

How to review and control active devices
Settings → Security → Active Devices
Shows: Browser + OS (Chrome on Windows 11)
Action: Verify you own this device
Shows: City, Country from IP address
Action: Check if location matches where you actually are
Shows: Internet address (192.168.1.1)
Action: Google IP if suspicious
Shows: When this device was last used
Action: Recent activity on device you don't use = red flag
Shows: Trusted or Requires 2FA
Action: Untrust devices you don't use regularly
Critical security checklist
Forgot to log out? Go to Settings → Security → Devices from YOUR device and terminate the public computer session immediately.

No limit, but each device is a security risk. Regularly review and remove devices you no longer use.
Yes. Terminating just logs out that session. You can log in again anytime (will need password + 2FA if enabled).
'Log Out' is done from the current device. 'Terminate Session' is done remotely from another device to force-logout a different device.
Generally no. Work computers may have monitoring software, and IT can access your data. Use personal device for sensitive accounts.
